Your primary objective will be to prepare candidates thoroughly for their theory and practical licensing examinations, instilling in them not just the skills to pass, but the foundational knowledge and mindset for a lifetime of safe driving. This involves delivering engaging and structured lessons that cover everything from basic vehicle control and maneuvering to complex road situations, defensive driving techniques, hazard perception, and understanding the nuances of the Highway Code. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, structured driving lessons to learners of varying experience levels.
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Instruct on all aspects of safe driving, including vehicle control, maneuvering, road rules, hazard perception, and defensive driving techniques.
- Prepare students thoroughly for both the theory and practical driving tests (DVSA standards).
- Provide constructive feedback and continuous assessment of student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of lessons, student progress, and payments.
- Promote and uphold the highest standards of road safety and ethical conduct.
- Maintain the instructional vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, and the training team.
Required Skills
- DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) qualification
- Full UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points
- Proven experience as a driving instructor (minimum 12 months post-qualification)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional patience, empathy, and ability to motivate
- Strong knowledge of the Highway Code and current DVSA test standards
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learners
- Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications
