Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and passionate Driving Instructor to join our growing team in Worksop, Nottingham. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, structured driving lessons to learners of all experience levels, from beginners to refresher courses.
- Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles.
- Prepare students thoroughly for their practical and theoretical driving tests, covering all aspects of the curriculum.
- Educate students on essential road safety rules, traffic laws, hazard perception, and defensive driving techniques.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student attendance, progress, lesson plans, and payments.
- Ensure the training vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and safe for instruction, performing routine checks.
- Manage lesson schedules effectively, coordinate bookings, and communicate professionally with students and our administrative team.
- Stay updated with changes in driving regulations, test procedures, and instructional best practices through continuous professional development.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally at all times, upholding company values, safety standards, and customer service excellence.
Required Skills
- Full Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) certification, current and in good standing with the DVSA.
- Minimum 2 years of active, post-qualification driving instruction experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and pedagogical skills, with the ability to build rapport.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and adaptability in teaching a diverse range of learners.
- Strong understanding of the UK Highway Code, driving test requirements, and road safety principles.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing a full diary.
- Clean UK driving record and a full, valid UK driving licence.
- Proficiency in basic administrative tasks and record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced driving qualifications (e.g., RoSPA Advanced Driver, IAM RoadSmart Advanced Driver).
- Experience with diverse student populations or specific learning needs (e.g., learners with anxiety, disabilities).
- First Aid certification.
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to the local community.
- Experience utilizing modern teaching aids and in-car technology for instruction.
