Career.zycto is seeking a passionate and skilled Wedding & Event Photographer to join our network of creative professionals. You will be responsible for documenting weddings, corporate events, private celebrations, and other special occasions with artistry, precision, and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive photographic coverage of weddings, corporate functions, and various social events, ensuring all key moments are captured creatively and professionally.
- Engage with clients pre-event to understand their specific needs, preferences, and desired photographic style.
- Manage and operate professional photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform post-production tasks including culling, editing, color correction, and retouching of images using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Deliver final high-quality digital images and/or printed albums within agreed-upon timelines.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with clients, guests, and other event vendors.
- Proactively scout locations and anticipate photographic opportunities during events.
- Ensure proper backup and secure storage of all photographic assets.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven professional experience in wedding and event photography.
- Expert proficiency with professional DSLR/mirrorless camera systems and associated gear.
- Advanced knowledge of photography principles (composition, lighting, exposure) and techniques.
- Demonstrable expertise in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for extensive photo editing and retouching.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of wedding and event photography work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced event environments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography or drone photography is a plus.
- Familiarity with event venues and logistics in the Nairobi area.
- Ability to speak Swahili fluently.
