Career.zycto is actively seeking an innovative and results-driven E-commerce Merchandising Planner to join our dynamic team in Yonge–Sheppard, Toronto. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the digital storefront of our growing e-commerce ventures, ensuring an exceptional customer experience from browsing to purchase. You will blend analytical prowess with creative vision to plan, execute, and manage product merchandising strategies across our digital platforms. This includes everything from category management, product assortment planning, and lifecycle management to promotional calendar development, content optimization, and on-site search enhancement.

You will play a key part in maximizing conversion rates, average order value, and overall revenue by meticulously analyzing sales trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities. Your insights will directly inform product placement, visual merchandising, and the strategic deployment of digital assets. You will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, inventory, and product development teams to ensure a cohesive and impactful online presence. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive e-commerce merchandising strategies to meet sales, conversion, and margin targets.
  • Manage product assortments, categories, and promotions across all digital platforms, ensuring optimal product visibility and customer engagement.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data, website traffic, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities and inform merchandising decisions.
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and design teams to plan and launch promotional campaigns, ensuring consistent brand messaging and effective product storytelling.
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry best practices to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Optimize on-site search, navigation, and product filtering to enhance product discoverability and user experience.
  • Partner with inventory and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and manage product lifecycles effectively.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, planning, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of driving online sales and improving key e-commerce metrics (conversion rate, AOV, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar web analytics tools.
  • Expertise in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing channels and their impact on merchandising.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience with A/B testing and personalization tools.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices for product content and category pages.
