Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented E-commerce Specialist to manage our client’s online store operations and optimise the end-to-end customer journey from click to delivery. Based in Milton Keynes, this crucial role involves taking ownership of the digital storefront, ensuring seamless functionality, compelling product presentation, and efficient order fulfilment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving online sales, enhancing user experience, and managing inventory and logistics processes to meet ambitious growth targets.
As an E-commerce Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the e-commerce platform, including product listings, content updates, promotional activities, and site merchandising. You’ll work closely with marketing teams to implement digital campaigns, ensuring product visibility and conversion rate optimisation. A significant part of this role will also focus on the operational aspects of e-commerce, specifically order processing, inventory management, and coordinating with third-party logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods. You’ll troubleshoot any issues related to order fulfilment and returns, striving for continuous improvement in our delivery processes. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the e-commerce website, ensuring product accuracy, content relevance, and optimal user experience.
- Implement and monitor digital merchandising strategies to maximise product visibility and sales conversions.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to execute online promotions, campaigns, and product launches.
- Oversee all aspects of order fulfilment, including processing, picking, packing, and dispatch, in collaboration with warehouse and logistics partners.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage stock allocations to prevent stockouts and minimise overstocking.
- Analyse e-commerce performance data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for improvement in sales, site performance, and fulfilment efficiency.
- Manage customer service inquiries related to orders, shipping, and returns, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure compliance with all e-commerce policies, data protection regulations (GDPR), and shipping requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an E-commerce Specialist or similar role (minimum 30 months).
- Solid understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
- Experience with online merchandising, product listing optimisation, and content management.
- Demonstrable knowledge of order fulfilment processes, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working cross-functionally.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
