Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a talented and passionate E-Learning Developer to join our innovative team in Westmount, Moose Jaw. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who is eager to transform complex information into engaging, accessible, and effective digital learning experiences. As an E-Learning Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the entire instructional design and development lifecycle, from conceptualization and storyboarding to final deployment and evaluation. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of adult learning principles, and proficiency in various e-learning authoring tools.

Your primary focus will be on creating high-quality, interactive, and SCORM-compliant e-learning modules for diverse audiences across various industries. This role requires a blend of technical skill, creativity, and pedagogical insight to ensure our learning solutions not only meet but exceed user expectations. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, graphic designers, and project managers to ensure consistency, accuracy, and engagement in all learning content. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement interactive and engaging e-learning modules, courses, and digital learning assets using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or Adobe Captivate.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content, identify learning objectives, and ensure accuracy and relevance of course material.
  • Apply instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and best practices to create effective and learner-centric educational solutions.
  • Develop engaging multimedia components including graphics, animations, audio, and video to enhance learning experiences.
  • Manage and maintain learning content within Learning Management Systems (LMS), ensuring SCORM/xAPI compliance and proper tracking of learner progress.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing and peer reviews of e-learning courses to ensure functionality, instructional integrity, and adherence to accessibility standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging e-learning technologies, tools, and trends, recommending innovative approaches to enhance our learning offerings.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate)
  • Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
  • Experience with multimedia development and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and SCORM/xAPI standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Multimedia Development, or a related field
  • Experience with video editing and animation software
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) for e-learning content
  • Previous experience working in an agile development environment
