Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with the early childhood curriculum.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and identifying areas for support or enrichment.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect, cooperation, and self-esteem.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate school-wide events and educational initiatives.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and consistent routines.
- Ensure the health and safety of all children, adhering to school policies and emergency procedures.
- Participate in professional development workshops, staff meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.
Required Skills
- Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) from a recognized institution.
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting.
- Strong understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Creativity and resourcefulness in designing engaging learning activities.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating young children.
