Job Description
Content House is seeking a highly skilled and exceptionally creative Editor, Media Production, to join our burgeoning team in Spring Valley, Nairobi. This is a pivotal role for an individual who possesses a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of rhythm and pacing, and an innate ability to weave disparate visual and audio elements into a cohesive and captivating story. As an Editor, you will be instrumental in bringing our clients’ visions to life, transforming raw footage into polished, broadcast-ready productions that meet the highest standards of quality and creativity. You will work across a diverse portfolio of projects, from fast-paced social media content and corporate explainers to emotionally resonant documentaries and impactful commercials. This role demands not just technical proficiency with industry-standard editing software but also a profound understanding of storytelling principles, visual aesthetics, and sound design. You will be responsible for manipulating and editing film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience, taking a director’s or client’s vision and bringing it to fruition through your craft. Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage into polished, high-quality videos for various platforms (TV, digital, social media).
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and clients to understand project scope, objectives, and desired outcomes.
- Implement motion graphics, visual effects, and sound design to enhance storytelling and overall production value.
- Ensure all edited content adheres to brand guidelines, technical specifications, and delivery deadlines.
- Manage and organize media assets, project files, and archives efficiently.
- Stay updated with the latest editing software, techniques, and industry trends.
- Provide creative input and suggestions throughout the post-production process.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure flawless final deliverables.
- Handle color correction and grading to achieve desired visual aesthetics.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio of diverse projects.
- Excellent understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
- Solid knowledge of sound design principles and audio mixing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
