Job Description
As an Education Assistant at Career.zycto, working on-site in West Edmonton, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the academic and social-emotional development of students within our partner educational institutions. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to students, individually or in small groups, under the direction of a classroom teacher.
- Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management plans.
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with physical, cognitive, behavioural, or sensory challenges.
- Help create and maintain an organized, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Facilitate student engagement in various classroom activities and lessons.
- Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials, resources, and classroom displays.
- Monitor student progress, record observations, and provide feedback to teachers.
- Support students with personal care, mobility, and communication needs as required.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times, such as recess, lunch, and field trips.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, teachers, parents, and other school personnel.
- Adhere to school policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines, particularly concerning student confidentiality.

- Experience with assistive technology or communication devices.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
