Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care delivery.
  • Develop, review, and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Oversee the daily operations of care services, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and internal policies.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks and risk assessments to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
  • Manage staff rotas, allocate duties, and provide ongoing training and performance support.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for residents' families regarding care and well-being.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately, and maintain precise care records.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an elderly care setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrable understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in elderly care.
  • Proficiency in care planning, risk assessment, and record-keeping.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or higher.
  • Experience with digital care planning systems.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Driving license with access to a vehicle (advantageous for external meetings).
