Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily care operations, ensuring high standards of person-centred care are maintained.
- Supervise, mentor, and support a team of care assistants through regular supervisions, appraisals, and ongoing training.
- Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure strict adherence to CQC regulations, company policies, and health and safety guidelines.
- Manage staff rotas and scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing levels and continuity of care, accommodating flexible working arrangements.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, their families, and external stakeholders, providing clear and empathetic communication.
- Handle concerns or complaints efficiently and professionally, implementing solutions and preventive measures.
- Conduct regular quality assurance checks and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with recruitment, induction, and ongoing professional development of care staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including care documentation, incident reports, and staff files.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in a senior care role or supervisory position within elderly care.
- Demonstrable leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing care plans.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and CQC regulations.
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and care management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
- First Aid certificate.

- Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle.
