Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Transcona, Winnipeg. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for new and existing projects, adhering to project specifications and industry standards.
- Perform circuit design, PCB layout, and schematic capture using industry-standard software.
- Conduct electrical simulations, analyses, and calculations to ensure performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and execute test plans for electrical prototypes and products, identifying and resolving design flaws or operational issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for electrical systems during commissioning and field operations.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electrical engineering.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
- Experience with PCB design software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
- Strong understanding of power electronics, control systems, and analogue/digital circuit design.
- Familiarity with industry electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., CSA, UL, NEC).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Manitoba, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or SPICE.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Experience in project management or leading small technical teams.
