Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical power lines and cables.
- Inspect and test electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Work with high-voltage equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and switches.
- Operate specialized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other utility vehicles.
- Perform emergency repairs and restoration efforts during power outages, often under challenging conditions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and other technical documents.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with technology and best practices.
Required Skills
- Completed vocational training as an Elektromonteur, Elektroniker, or similar qualification.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Linesperson or in a related field involving high-voltage electricity.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, principles, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Valid German Class B (or equivalent) driver's license; additional heavy vehicle licenses (e.g., C/CE) are a plus.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced diagnostic tools and equipment for electrical systems.
- Certification in specific high-voltage safety protocols or equipment operation.
- Fluent in German (B2 level or higher) to effectively communicate with the team and local authorities.
- Experience in fault location and repair on underground cable networks.
