Key Responsibilities
- Perform domestic electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, including wiring, fuse boards, lighting, and power outlets.
- Execute industrial electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, involving machinery, control panels, three-phase systems, and containment.
- Conduct thorough electrical inspections and testing, issuing relevant certification (e.g., EICRs) where required.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and effectively across various settings.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including relevant BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations.
- Liaise with clients to understand requirements, provide expert advice, and ensure satisfaction.
- Manage workload effectively, prioritize tasks, and complete projects within specified timelines and budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other trades on multidisciplinary projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a qualified Electrician, proficient in both domestic and industrial environments.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.
- Experience with specialist systems (e.g., fire alarms, CCTV, data cabling).
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
- Experience supervising junior electricians or apprentices.
