Are you a highly skilled and motivated Electrician looking to take on a diverse range of projects across domestic and industrial settings? Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated professional on behalf of our esteemed clients in Shirehampton, Bristol. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced electrician to join a dynamic team, contributing to essential electrical installations, maintenance, and fault-finding operations.

As an Electrician specializing in both domestic and industrial wiring, you will be instrumental in ensuring all electrical systems meet current regulatory standards, operate efficiently, and are installed to the highest specifications. You will be expected to work autonomously as well as part of a team, interpreting technical drawings, providing solutions, and ensuring all work is completed on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Execute new electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance across domestic, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Perform diagnostic checks and fault-finding on complex electrical systems and components.
- Install and maintain lighting systems, power distribution, control panels, and fire alarm systems.
- Ensure all work adheres strictly to BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) and relevant health and safety standards.
- Conduct electrical testing and inspection, issuing relevant certification where required.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan wiring layouts and installations.
- Liaise effectively with clients, site managers, and other trades to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles to a high standard.
- Provide accurate estimates for materials and labour when necessary.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
- Possession of 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification.
- At least 3 years of proven experience as a qualified Electrician in both domestic and industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and components.
- Proficient in fault diagnosis and resolution.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.
- Experience with renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV, EV charging points).
- First Aid at Work certification.
- IPAF or PASMA certification (desirable but not essential).
