Job Description

As a Remote Email Deliverability and Inbox Placement Specialist at Spoon Consulting, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our (or our clients’) email marketing performance. You will be responsible for ensuring that emails reach their intended recipients’ inboxes, rather than being filtered as spam or blocked. This involves a deep understanding of email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), sender reputation management, IP blacklisting, bounce rate analysis, and ISP relations. You will continuously monitor deliverability metrics, identify potential issues, and implement strategic solutions to maintain and improve inbox placement rates across various email service providers (ESPs) and internet service providers (ISPs). Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding our sender reputation, enhancing campaign ROI, and supporting our overall digital communication strategy. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within Mauritius while collaborating with a dynamic and innovative team, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of digital excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on email deliverability metrics and inbox placement rates across all campaigns.

  • Manage and maintain sender reputation with various ESPs/ISPs, including Google, Microsoft, and others.
  • Configure and troubleshoot email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to ensure proper setup and compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies for IP warming, list hygiene, segmentation, and sending frequency best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, anti-spam legislation (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM), and changes in ISP filtering algorithms.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and technical teams to ensure email content and sending practices adhere to deliverability best practices.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations on email marketing strategies to optimize performance and compliance.
  • Conduct deliverability audits and competitive analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on deliverability performance, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in email deliverability and inbox placement optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • Strong understanding of sender reputation, IP blacklisting, and ISP filtering mechanisms.
  • Proficiency with email service providers (ESPs) such as Mailchimp, SendGrid, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.
