Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive on-site energy audits for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.
- Analyze energy consumption patterns, utility bills, and building specifications to identify waste and inefficiencies.
- Prepare detailed energy audit reports, including technical findings, cost estimates, savings projections, and ROI analysis for recommended measures.
- Utilize specialized diagnostic equipment (e.g., thermal imagers, power meters, airflow monitors) and software for data collection and analysis.
- Develop and present compelling recommendations for energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy integration, and demand-side management strategies to clients.
- Collaborate with clients to facilitate the implementation of energy-saving projects, providing technical support and performance verification.
- Stay updated with the latest energy codes, standards, technologies, and incentives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant energy regulations and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Energy Auditor or in a related energy engineering role.
- Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, lighting, building envelope), industrial processes, and energy consumption analysis.
- Proficiency in energy modeling software and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for report generation and client presentations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar professional certification (e.g., CEA, CMVP).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with specific energy management software platforms (e.g., eQUEST, Trane TRACE, EnergyPlus).
- Knowledge of local and national energy regulations and incentive programs in Germany.
