Standard Bank South Africa is seeking an enthusiastic Entrepreneur Assistant to join our dynamic team in Potchefstroom. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and competitive landscapes within the Potchefstroom and North West region.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of business plans, proposals, and pitches for entrepreneurial clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support the Business Development Managers in client acquisition, relationship management, and ongoing account support.
- Coordinate and organise business development meetings, workshops, and networking events for entrepreneurs.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation required for internal reviews and external communications.
- Manage and maintain client databases, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
- Perform administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of business development activities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, financial products, and regulatory changes affecting SMEs and entrepreneurs.
- Proactively identify and suggest improvements to current business development processes and strategies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in administrative support or an assistant role, preferably in a business or financial environment.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English (and Afrikaans for local context).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a strong sense of initiative.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience working with entrepreneurs, small businesses, or in a startup environment.
- Familiarity with CRM software and business intelligence tools.
