You will engage in the full project lifecycle, from initial site assessments and feasibility studies to detailed design, permitting, and post-implementation monitoring. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and risk analyses for diverse projects.
  • Design and implement sustainable engineering solutions for waste management, water treatment, air quality, and contaminated land.
  • Develop comprehensive environmental management plans and ensure compliance with UK and EU regulations.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert technical advice on environmental best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee site investigations, monitoring programs, and remediation efforts.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project designs.
  • Stay abreast of emerging environmental technologies, legislation, and industry trends.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an Environmental focus, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as an Environmental Engineer.
  • Proficiency in UK and EU environmental legislation and permitting processes.
  • Demonstrable experience in environmental impact assessment (EIA) and risk management.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with environmental modeling software (e.g., dispersion models, hydrological models).
  • Valid UK driving license (required for site visits).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant environmental engineering field.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIWEM, IEMA).
  • Experience with contaminated land investigation and remediation techniques.
  • Familiarity with GIS software for environmental data analysis.
  • Project management experience.
