You will engage in the full project lifecycle, from initial site assessments and feasibility studies to detailed design, permitting, and post-implementation monitoring. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and risk analyses for diverse projects.
- Design and implement sustainable engineering solutions for waste management, water treatment, air quality, and contaminated land.
- Develop comprehensive environmental management plans and ensure compliance with UK and EU regulations.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Provide expert technical advice on environmental best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee site investigations, monitoring programs, and remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project designs.
- Stay abreast of emerging environmental technologies, legislation, and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an Environmental focus, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as an Environmental Engineer.
- Proficiency in UK and EU environmental legislation and permitting processes.
- Demonstrable experience in environmental impact assessment (EIA) and risk management.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with environmental modeling software (e.g., dispersion models, hydrological models).
- Valid UK driving license (required for site visits).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant environmental engineering field.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIWEM, IEMA).
