Key Responsibilities

  • Assist environmental scientists with data collection, entry, analysis, and management, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare, format, and compile reports, presentations, technical documents, and proposals using various software.
  • Organize and maintain project files, documentation, and databases in accordance with company standards.
  • Coordinate logistics for field assignments, including equipment preparation, scheduling, and travel arrangements.
  • Conduct basic literature reviews and research to support ongoing environmental studies and projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the environmental science team, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
  • Assist with laboratory sample preparation, inventory management, and proper disposal protocols.
  • Liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to facilitate project communications.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols, environmental regulations, and data quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of environmental science principles and terminology.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record for potential field work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geography, or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience in an office or field support role, particularly within an environmental consulting or research context.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and policies specific to New Brunswick.
  • Experience with Geographical Information System (GIS) software (e.g., ArcGIS).
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
