Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to environmental project managers and specialists, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing project files.
  • Assist in the collection, organization, and entry of environmental data into databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and proposals by gathering information, formatting documents, and conducting basic research.
  • Coordinate logistics for field activities, site visits, and workshops, including travel arrangements, equipment preparation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Maintain and update environmental records, permits, and compliance documentation.
  • Act as a central point of contact for internal teams and external partners regarding administrative matters.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal environmental initiatives and awareness programs.
  • Assist with procurement processes for project-related materials and services, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and relevant environmental regulations.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a post-secondary certificate or diploma is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or certificate in Environmental Science, Conservation, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of environmental principles and sustainability concepts.
  • Experience with data entry and database management systems.
  • Familiarity with local environmental regulations and community dynamics in Nairobi.
  • Previous administrative or support role experience, even if informal.
