Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Estate Facility Technician to join our growing team in Ifite, Awka. In this pivotal full-time role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our various estate properties. You will be the frontline expert, responsible for the general upkeep, safety, and functionality of all building systems and communal areas, directly contributing to a comfortable and secure environment for residents and occupants.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of estate properties, identifying and addressing maintenance issues promptly.
- Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Respond efficiently to maintenance requests and troubleshoot complex technical problems, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
- Execute repairs and installations related to carpentry, painting, masonry, and other general building maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and material usage.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and established industry standards.
- Manage and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring availability when needed.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects, overseeing their work to ensure quality.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and protocols.
- Provide emergency response for critical facility issues outside of regular working hours as required.
- Monitor utilities consumption and report any unusual patterns or potential leaks.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Facility Technician or similar role, preferably in an estate or commercial property setting.
- Strong technical proficiency in electrical systems (wiring, circuits, fault finding).
- Expertise in plumbing (fixtures, pipe repair, drainage systems).
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems (maintenance, basic repairs).
- General carpentry skills (repairs, installations, finishing).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in various conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant trade certification or vocational training in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general maintenance.
- OND/HND or equivalent in a related technical field.
- Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Valid Nigerian driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience working with property management software.
