As an Estimator, you will be the backbone of our bidding process, responsible for meticulously calculating all costs associated with a project, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for various projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to understand project scope and requirements.
- Conduct thorough take-offs of materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project.
- Solicit and review subcontractor bids and supplier quotes, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project specifications.
- Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities that could impact project costs.
- Develop and maintain a cost database for future reference and continuous improvement.
- Present detailed estimates and proposals to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a comprehensive understanding of project conditions.
- Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure the best possible terms.
- Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Estimator in construction or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, Excel).
- Excellent understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
