Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests (web, mobile, network, cloud) to identify and exploit security vulnerabilities.
- Perform detailed vulnerability assessments and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
- Develop custom tools, scripts, and methodologies to enhance testing capabilities and efficiency.
- Research and stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and defense mechanisms.
- Participate in incident response activities, providing expert analysis and support during security breaches.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of our cybersecurity knowledge base.
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to improve our overall security posture.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or ethical hacking.
- Proficiency with common penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Nmap, Burp Suite, Wireshark).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Linux, Windows), and web application security.
- Experience with at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, PowerShell) for automation and tool development.
- Solid knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate complex security issues clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications such as Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), or other equivalent security certifications.
