Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive penetration tests (web, mobile, network, cloud) to identify and exploit security vulnerabilities.
  • Perform detailed vulnerability assessments and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Develop custom tools, scripts, and methodologies to enhance testing capabilities and efficiency.
  • Research and stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and defense mechanisms.
  • Participate in incident response activities, providing expert analysis and support during security breaches.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of our cybersecurity knowledge base.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to improve our overall security posture.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or ethical hacking.
  • Proficiency with common penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Nmap, Burp Suite, Wireshark).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Linux, Windows), and web application security.
  • Experience with at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, PowerShell) for automation and tool development.
  • Solid knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex security issues clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications such as Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), or other equivalent security certifications.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud security testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of reverse engineering, malware analysis, or forensics.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their security implications.
  • Experience with security automation and orchestration platforms.
