Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise the evening care worker schedule, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and continuity of care for all clients.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to incoming calls and urgent inquiries from clients, family members, and care staff during evening hours.
  • Coordinate and communicate unforeseen changes to care plans or schedules, such as staff absence or client needs, with minimal disruption.
  • Provide administrative support, including accurate record-keeping, updating client profiles, and preparing relevant documentation.
  • Act as a central point of contact for evening care team members, offering support, guidance, and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Ensure all care activities comply with CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the day coordination team to ensure smooth handovers and consistent service delivery.
  • Monitor client feedback and address concerns proactively to maintain high standards of service.
  • Assist in the on-call rota for out-of-hours support as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a care coordination or similar administrative role, preferably within domiciliary care.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under pressure.
  • Empathetic and client-focused approach.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with care planning and assessment.
  • Knowledge of local health and social care services in Edinburgh.
  • Proficiency in CM2000 or similar care management systems.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • First Aid certification.
