Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Evening Care Lead Supervisor to join our vibrant team in Wigston, Leicester. Your day will involve overseeing the delivery of care, allocating tasks, managing incident reporting, and acting as a primary point of contact for staff, residents, and their families during the evening hours. You will ensure all care plans are meticulously followed and updated, conduct regular audits, and provide hands-on support when needed. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the evening care team, ensuring efficient allocation of duties and adherence to care plans.
- Provide direct hands-on care and support to residents as required, maintaining their dignity and promoting independence.
- Oversee the administration of medication, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for staff, residents, families, and external healthcare professionals during the evening.
- Manage and document all incidents, accidents, and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Conduct regular audits of care records and practices to ensure high standards are consistently met.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and ongoing support to care staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Assist with staff training and development, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and CQC standards.
- Contribute to the development and review of care plans, ensuring they are person-centered and responsive to individual needs.
- Facilitate effective communication channels within the team and across shifts to ensure continuity of care.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a care setting
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Proficient in record-keeping and care plan documentation
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work flexible evening hours, including weekends and public holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid qualification
- Experience with electronic care planning systems
- Driver's license and access to own transport
