Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Evening Shift Supervisor Lead to oversee our critical night operations in Stillington, Easingwold. As the Evening Shift Supervisor Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of all night shift activities, managing a dedicated team, and upholding our high standards for productivity and quality. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operational activities during the evening/night shift, guaranteeing safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
  • Monitor production schedules, allocate tasks, and adjust staffing levels as necessary to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues promptly, escalating complex problems to senior management when required.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Maintain accurate shift records, reports, and documentation, including incident reports and production logs.
  • Collaborate with other shift supervisors and departments to ensure seamless handovers and integrated operations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or operational environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and efficiency principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Proficiency in health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger management team.
  • Proficient in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in Leadership and Management or a related field.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software.
