Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Event Decorator to join our dynamic team, specializing in venue setup and styling. As an Event Decorator, you will be instrumental in crafting unforgettable atmospheres for a diverse range of events across Speke, Liverpool, and the surrounding areas. From elegant weddings and sophisticated corporate galas to vibrant birthday celebrations and unique themed parties, your artistic touch will be essential in setting the perfect mood and ambiance. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision, translate it into detailed design plans, and then lead the hands-on setup and styling process.
This role demands not only a keen eye for aesthetics but also a practical, hands-on approach. You’ll be involved in everything from selecting and sourcing decorative elements, floral arrangements, lighting, and furniture, to the physical transportation, installation, and dismantling of decor. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event vision, preferences, and budget to develop unique decor concepts.
- Design and present detailed mood boards, sketches, and proposals incorporating various decorative elements.
- Source and procure high-quality decor items, including linens, furniture, lighting, floral arrangements, props, and signage.
- Manage the logistics of decor transportation, ensuring timely delivery and collection.
- Lead the efficient and artistic setup of venues, adhering to design specifications and timelines.
- Execute styling, staging, and arrangement of all decorative elements to create desired ambiance.
- Oversee the dismantling and packing of decor post-event, ensuring items are accounted for and stored properly.
- Maintain inventory of decor items, ensuring they are well-maintained and ready for future events.
- Work collaboratively with event planners, vendors, and venue staff to ensure seamless execution.
- Stay updated on current event decor trends, materials, and techniques.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in event decorating, venue styling, or interior design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative design concepts and execution.
- Excellent understanding of color theory, aesthetics, and spatial arrangement.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and vendor interaction.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy decor items.
- Full UK driving license and access to reliable transportation for local travel.
