Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic and organized individual with a passion for creating memorable experiences? Vale in Moatize is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Event Management Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Kambulatsitsi Mine Area. This pivotal role involves supporting the planning, execution, and post-event analysis of various company events, ranging from internal training sessions and employee engagement activities to community outreach programs and stakeholder meetings. As an Event Management Assistant, you will play a crucial part in ensuring seamless event delivery, contributing to our operational excellence and community engagement efforts. You will work closely with different departments, gaining invaluable experience in a large-scale, international mining environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and coordination of internal and external events, workshops, meetings, and community engagement initiatives.
- Support logistics management, including venue setup, equipment procurement, catering arrangements, and attendee registration.
- Prepare event materials such as presentations, agendas, welcome packs, and promotional items.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring all activities run according to schedule and resolving any issues promptly.
- Help manage event budgets, track expenses, and process invoices.
- Assist with post-event evaluations, gathering feedback, and preparing summary reports.
- Maintain accurate records of event details, participant lists, and outcomes.
- Contribute to fostering a positive and engaging environment for all event participants.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree or pursuing a degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Portuguese and working knowledge of English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (internship or part-time) in event coordination, administrative support, or a related field.
- Familiarity with event management software or tools.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
