Career.zycto is seeking a talented Event Planner to join our vibrant team in Prestwich, Manchester. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing a diverse range of corporate events, including conferences, product launches, gala dinners, and team-building retreats, as well as bespoke private functions such as weddings, milestone celebrations, and intimate gatherings. You will manage projects end-to-end, working closely with clients to understand their vision, budget, and objectives, translating these into practical and inspiring event plans. Your day-to-day will involve vendor management, budget tracking, timeline creation, on-site coordination, and post-event analysis. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who can maintain composure under pressure and consistently deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of corporate and private events, from initial concept development to post-event evaluation.
  • Liaise directly with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budgetary constraints, developing detailed proposals.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage a diverse range of vendors including venues, caterers, decorators, entertainment, and technical suppliers.
  • Develop comprehensive event timelines, production schedules, and logistical plans.
  • Create and manage event budgets, ensuring all financial targets are met and tracked accurately.
  • Oversee event marketing and promotion where applicable, collaborating with internal or external teams.
  • Conduct on-site event management, ensuring seamless execution and timely resolution of any issues.
  • Manage attendee registration, guest lists, and seating plans.
  • Perform post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and prepare reports for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers, fostering repeat business and positive referrals.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in event planning, specifically in corporate and/or private functions.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget creation and management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven creative flair and an eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for event travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CSEP, CMP).
  • Experience with CRM systems and digital marketing for events.
