Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Event Planner to join our thriving team in Thornhill, Cardiff. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing a diverse range of corporate and private events that enhance our brand presence and foster strong client relationships. From intimate executive meetings and large-scale recruitment fairs to celebratory staff functions and bespoke client appreciation events, you will manage every facet of the event lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of diverse corporate events (e.g., recruitment drives, workshops, conferences, product launches) and private functions (e.g., team-building events, holiday parties).
  • Develop comprehensive event proposals, including timelines, budgets, vendor selection, and resource allocation.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage vendors (e.g., caterers, venues, AV technicians, entertainment) to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee all logistical elements, including venue setup, registration, on-site coordination, and post-event breakdown.
  • Manage event budgets meticulously, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop promotional materials and ensure consistent branding.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and prepare reports to assess success and identify areas for improvement.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of proven experience in event planning and management, ideally within corporate or agency settings.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management abilities.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial tracking for events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and engaging demeanor.
  • A creative mindset with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Certification in Event Management (e.g., CMP, CSEP).
  • Experience with virtual or hybrid event platforms.
