Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand vision, objectives, and budget for weddings and corporate events.
- Develop innovative event concepts, proposals, and detailed timelines for various event types.
- Source, negotiate with, and manage a diverse range of vendors including venues, caterers, decorators, entertainment, and technical suppliers.
- Create and manage comprehensive event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects, including permits, transportation, accommodation, and on-site schedules.
- Oversee on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring seamless operation and problem resolution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors throughout the planning and execution phases.
- Develop and manage contingency plans for potential issues or unforeseen circumstances.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and analyze success metrics.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and local regulations in Negril and Jamaica.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in event planning, specifically with weddings and corporate events.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
