Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized, creative, and passionate Freelance Event Planner specializing in both wedding and corporate events to join our network of top-tier talent. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client consultations to understand event objectives, vision, scope, and budget for both wedding and corporate events.
- Develop comprehensive event proposals, including theme concepts, logistical plans, timelines, and detailed budget breakdowns.
- Identify, negotiate with, and manage a diverse range of vendors (caterers, venues, decorators, photographers, entertainers, A/V suppliers, etc.).
- Oversee all logistical elements, including venue selection, seating arrangements, transportation, accommodation, and equipment setup.
- Manage event budgets meticulously, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Create and adhere to detailed event timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met and coordinating all stakeholders effectively.
- Provide on-site supervision and management during events to ensure smooth execution, troubleshoot issues, and manage staff/vendors.
- Handle all necessary permits, licenses, and insurance requirements for events.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and provide recommendations for future improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, event technologies, and local vendor offerings in Spanish Town and surrounding areas.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience in event planning, specifically with both wedding and corporate events.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Proficiency in budget creation, tracking, and financial oversight.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Creative flair and a strong understanding of aesthetics and design principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative freelance network.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
