As a freelance Event Planner, you will be responsible for managing events from initial concept development to post-event evaluation, working closely with clients to bring their visions to life while adhering to budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and budget for weddings and corporate events.
- Develop comprehensive event proposals, including themes, concepts, décor, catering, entertainment, and logistics.
- Create and manage detailed event timelines, budgets, and critical path documents.
- Source, negotiate with, and manage vendors, including venues, caterers, florists, photographers, audiovisual technicians, and entertainers.
- Coordinate all aspects of event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring seamless operations.
- Manage guest lists, invitations, RSVPs, and seating arrangements.
- Provide on-site event management, troubleshooting issues and ensuring a smooth guest experience.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and analyze event success metrics.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, venues, and vendor offerings in Jamaica.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in event planning, with significant focus on both weddings and corporate events.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Creative flair and a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
