Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly creative, organized, and experienced freelance Event Planner to join our network of elite professionals. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in meticulously planning, coordinating, and executing both enchanting wedding celebrations and impactful corporate events. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on a project-by-project basis, allowing for significant flexibility and exposure to a diverse range of clients and event styles across Spanish Town and surrounding areas.

As a freelance Event Planner, you will be the driving force behind turning our clients’ visions into unforgettable realities. From initial concept development and budget management to vendor negotiation and on-site coordination, you will manage every facet of the event lifecycle with precision and flair. Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and budget for wedding and corporate events.
  • Develop detailed event proposals, including themes, concepts, décor, catering, entertainment, and logistics.
  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure all financial aspects are handled efficiently.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage a diverse range of vendors (caterers, venues, florists, photographers, entertainers, etc.).
  • Create comprehensive timelines and schedules for all event phases, from planning to execution.
  • Oversee all logistical arrangements, including venue setup, transportation, equipment, and guest management.
  • Provide exceptional on-site coordination and supervision during events to ensure smooth execution and prompt resolution of any issues.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in event planning, specifically with weddings and corporate functions.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Proficiency in budget creation and financial tracking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative flair with an eye for design and detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software (e.g., Aisle Planner, Monday.com).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Certification in Event Management (e.g., CMP, CSEP).
  • Existing network of trusted local vendors in Spanish Town and surrounding areas.
  • Portfolio showcasing a variety of successful wedding and corporate events.
  • Fluency in additional languages (beyond English) is a plus.
