Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial client consultations to understand event objectives, preferences, and budgetary constraints for both wedding and corporate events.
  • Develop detailed event proposals, including theme concepts, vendor recommendations, budget breakdowns, and timelines.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with a wide array of vendors (caterers, venues, florists, photographers, entertainers, technical support, etc.).
  • Create and manage comprehensive event budgets, ensuring all expenditures remain within allocated limits.
  • Oversee all logistical aspects, including venue selection, layout planning, transportation, and accommodation arrangements.
  • Design and execute event aesthetics, including decor, lighting, and entertainment to align with client vision.
  • Coordinate on-site event operations, managing setup, teardown, and ensuring smooth execution on the day of the event.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors throughout the planning process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or unforeseen circumstances that may arise during event planning or execution.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in event planning, specifically with weddings and corporate events

  • Experience with destination event planning in Jamaica
