Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and creative Event Planner to join our vibrant team in Bruntsfield, Edinburgh. Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and develop innovative event proposals tailored to client objectives and budget.
  • Manage all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, vendor negotiation, catering, entertainment, and décor.
  • Create detailed timelines, action plans, and budgets, ensuring all milestones are met and costs are managed effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Oversee on-site event setup, management, and breakdown, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in event management.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in event planning or project management.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing events from concept to completion.
  • Strong negotiation and budget management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) or other relevant industry certifications.

  • Familiarity with venues and vendors within the Edinburgh region.
