Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Event Sales Manager to join our bustling team in Iwo Road, Ibadan. This pivotal role is perfect for an individual with a proven track record in event sales, eager to lead initiatives that drive significant revenue growth and expand our market presence across Oyo State. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed monthly and annual revenue targets for events.
  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new corporate and individual clients through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding their event requirements and offering tailored solutions.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts that clearly articulate the value proposition of Career.zycto’s event services.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales agreements effectively, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance) to ensure seamless execution of events and exceptional client experience.
  • Conduct market research to identify new trends, competitive activity, and potential growth opportunities within the Ibadan event market.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipeline in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management, highlighting progress and areas for improvement.
  • Represent Career.zycto at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote services and generate leads.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in event sales or B2B sales.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent presentation capabilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a target-driven environment.
  • Deep understanding of the local Ibadan market and event industry trends.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in event planning or coordination.
  • Existing network of contacts within the corporate or social event sector in Ibadan.
  • Fluency in Yoruba in addition to English.
