Career.zycto is seeking highly motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Event Setup Crew members in the Sheridan area of Mississauga. This is an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy hands-on work, are team-oriented, and take pride in contributing to successful events of all scales, from corporate conferences to grand social gatherings. As a vital part of our operations, you will be responsible for the physical preparation and dismantling of event sites, ensuring everything is set up to precise specifications and then efficiently packed away. This role is crucial for creating memorable experiences for our clients and their guests. We are looking for individuals who are not afraid of physical labor, possess a keen eye for detail, and can work effectively in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment. Key Responsibilities
- Unload trucks and transport event equipment to designated areas.
- Execute the precise setup of event furniture, staging, lighting, sound equipment, and decor according to floor plans and client specifications.
- Assemble and dismantle temporary structures, booths, and other event components.
- Ensure all equipment is safely and securely installed and positioned.
- Provide on-site support during events as needed, including minor adjustments or quick cleanups.
- Efficiently and carefully pack away all equipment and materials post-event.
- Load equipment back onto trucks for transport.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the setup and teardown processes.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team leaders and other crew members to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) consistently.
- Proven reliability and punctuality.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures for manual labor.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event setup, general labor, warehouse, or a similar physically demanding role.
- Possession of a valid G driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- First Aid and/or CPR certification.
- Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as per event schedules.
