Job Description

Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels is seeking a meticulous, vigilant, and highly reliable Exam Invigilator to join our dedicated team in Chamarel, Black River District. In this crucial part-time role, you will be instrumental in upholding the integrity and fairness of various examinations and assessments conducted within our facilities. These assessments may include internal staff certifications, professional development courses hosted by our training academies, or academic tests facilitated for our partners. The ideal candidate will possess an unwavering commitment to impartiality, exceptional observational skills, and the ability to maintain a calm yet authoritative presence. You will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to examination protocols, providing a conducive and equitable testing environment for all candidates, and expertly managing any issues that may arise with the utmost professionalism and discretion. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms according to specified layouts, ensuring all necessary materials (e.g., examination papers, answer sheets, stationery, relevant equipment) are accurately and sufficiently distributed.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate examination rules, regulations, and instructions to all candidates before the commencement of each examination session.
  • Vigilantly monitor candidates throughout the entire examination period, ensuring strict adherence to rules, promoting fair play, and actively preventing any instances of malpractice, cheating, or unauthorized communication.
  • Respond calmly, respectfully, and effectively to candidate queries or concerns regarding the examination process, escalating complex problems to the appropriate administrative personnel when necessary.
  • Accurately manage the collection of all examination papers, answer sheets, and related materials at the conclusion of each session, ensuring every item is meticulously accounted for.
  • Complete and submit all required invigilation reports, precisely documenting any incidents, observations, or irregularities that occurred during the examination in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a quiet, orderly, and focused testing environment, actively minimizing any potential distractions for all candidates to ensure optimal performance conditions.
  • Strictly adhere to all data protection, confidentiality, and privacy guidelines pertaining to examination materials, candidate information, and assessment results.
  • Assist candidates with technical issues related to computer-based tests, if applicable, or direct them to relevant support staff.

  • A relevant certificate or diploma in administration, education support, or a related field.
