Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present food dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are meticulously clean, hygienic, and organized at all times.
- Manage food stock and supplies, diligently reporting any shortages or quality issues to the Head Chef.
- Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation with keen attention to detail before serving.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety regulations, health standards, and kitchen protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and efficient workflow during all shifts.
- Assist in menu development and innovation, contributing creative ideas for new dishes and specials.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring regular maintenance and cleaning.
- Minimize food waste through precise preparation and intelligent inventory management.
- Potentially assist in the training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Cook in a restaurant setting.
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures.
