As an Experienced Plumber, you will be a cornerstone of our service delivery, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining various plumbing systems with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality service, from routine maintenance tasks to complex installations and emergency repairs. Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, and fixtures involved in heating, water, and drainage systems.
- Inspect and test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems, diagnosing issues accurately.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing problems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems, including checking for wear and tear, and replacing faulty parts.
- Interpret blueprints and building specifications to determine layouts for plumbing systems.
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes to specifications, using hand and power tools.
- Collaborate with other construction workers, such as electricians and carpenters, to ensure coordinated project completion.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining issues and solutions clearly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours spent on each job.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency plumbing services as required, demonstrating reliability and responsiveness.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plumber (minimum 4 years).
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and equipment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Kenyan driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Adherence to safety protocols and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certificate or diploma in Plumbing from a recognized institution.
- Experience with various piping materials (e.g., copper, PVC, PEX, galvanized steel).
- Knowledge of water heater installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Experience with advanced plumbing technologies and smart home systems.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Supervisory experience or ability to mentor junior plumbers.
