Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of building operations and maintenance, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programs for all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, etc.).
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and supervise the performance of external contractors for cleaning, landscaping, repairs, and specialized services.
  • Prepare and manage the facilities budget, monitoring expenditures and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of facilities staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Coordinate and manage office moves, reconfigurations, and space planning initiatives to optimize workspace utilization.
  • Ensure the physical security of the premises, including access control systems and emergency preparedness plans.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Implement sustainable practices and initiatives to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and facility-related documentation.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facilities Management Professional (FMP)).
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of local building codes and ADA compliance.
  • Background in sustainable building practices and energy management.
