Your day will involve everything from minor plumbing and electrical fixes to painting, carpentry, and general upkeep of our grounds and buildings. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including minor plumbing repairs (e.g., fixing leaky faucets, unclogging drains), basic electrical fixes (e.g., changing light bulbs, minor wiring), and carpentry work (e.g., repairing furniture, doors).
- Assist senior maintenance technicians and engineers with more complex repair projects and installations across the resort.
- Conduct regular inspections of resort facilities, guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.
- Execute painting, plastering, and general upkeep duties to maintain the aesthetic appeal of buildings and grounds.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe before, during, and after maintenance tasks.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of equipment for events and special functions.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, reporting shortages to the supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies while performing duties.
- Participate in emergency response procedures as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in general facility maintenance or a related trade (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
