Job Description

Wisynco Group Limited, a powerhouse in Jamaica’s manufacturing and distribution sector, is seeking a dedicated Factory Supervisor for our Production Line to join our dynamic team in St. Andrew. As a Factory Supervisor, you will be the linchpin connecting operational goals with day-to-day execution on the production floor. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of your designated shift, ensuring production targets are met or exceeded while maintaining strict adherence to our rigorous quality control protocols and safety regulations. Your leadership will directly impact productivity, waste reduction, and the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes. This role requires exceptional problem-solving abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to motivate and develop a diverse team of production associates. You will be instrumental in identifying bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production line operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all targets for output, quality, and efficiency are met.
  • Manage, train, and mentor a team of production line workers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Implement and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, quality control standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP), and company policies.
  • Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Prepare daily production reports, analyze performance metrics, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics departments to ensure seamless operation flow.
  • Conduct regular equipment checks and ensure proper usage and maintenance of machinery.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods on the production line, minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in food/beverage or FMCG.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality control standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP), and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with production management software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required for shift work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Production Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
