Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage various types of farm equipment, primarily tractors with attached implements (plows, cultivators, planters, sprayers, harvesters).
- Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on machinery, including fueling, lubricating, and cleaning.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify mechanical issues, performing minor repairs or reporting major malfunctions to supervisors.
- Prepare land for planting, including plowing, harrowing, and leveling.
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest crops according to specific instructions and agricultural best practices.
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides accurately and safely, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, equipment usage, and maintenance logs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and operational procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with other farm duties as required, including loading/unloading materials and general farm upkeep.
