Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a wide range of farm equipment, with a primary focus on various tractor models and their attachments.
- Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Execute field operations including plowing, tilling, planting, cultivating, spraying, fertilizing, and harvesting in accordance with farm schedules and guidelines.
- Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and output.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and operational procedures to ensure a safe working environment for self and colleagues.
- Assist with irrigation system setup, operation, and maintenance as required.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and field applications.
- Report any mechanical issues or equipment malfunctions promptly to farm management.
- Participate in general farm duties and assist other team members as needed.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of agricultural inputs, including fuels, fertilizers, and pesticides, in compliance with regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating a variety of farm equipment, particularly tractors of different sizes and their implements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Thorough understanding of agricultural safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to operate GPS-guided equipment and other precision agriculture technologies.
- Valid driver's license with appropriate endorsements for operating farm machinery.
