Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare fields for planting, including tilling, fertilizing, and creating seedbeds.
  • Plant seeds and seedlings manually or using basic farm machinery.
  • Perform crop maintenance tasks such as weeding, thinning, pruning, and pest control.
  • Operate and maintain farm equipment and tools safely and efficiently (e.g., tractors, irrigation systems, hand tools).
  • Monitor crop health, identifying signs of disease, pests, or nutrient deficiencies and reporting to supervisors.
  • Implement irrigation schedules and techniques to ensure adequate water supply to crops.
  • Harvest crops manually or with appropriate tools, ensuring quality and minimizing damage.
  • Sort, clean, and pack harvested produce for transport and storage.
  • Assist with general farm maintenance, including cleaning farm facilities, repairing fences, and maintaining pathways.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and agricultural best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily and weekly farming objectives.

Required Skills

  • Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
