Job Description
Are you a hardworking and dedicated individual looking for a challenging yet rewarding seasonal opportunity in agriculture? METL Group is seeking enthusiastic Farm Workers to join our team for the upcoming seasonal labor needs in Kigoma, Kigoma Region. This is a full-time, seasonal position essential to our agricultural operations, focused on cultivating and harvesting vital crops that contribute to Tanzania’s food supply. We are committed to supporting our team members, which is why we are providing on-site accommodation and meals for the duration of this seasonal contract.
As a Farm Worker, you will be an integral part of our agricultural production cycle, performing a variety of tasks crucial to the success of our harvests. Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks such as planting, weeding, pruning, harvesting, and packaging crops.
- Operate basic farm tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with irrigation systems, including setting up and monitoring water supply.
- Participate in soil preparation, fertilization, and pest control activities under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of farm areas, tools, and equipment.
- Load and unload agricultural products and supplies.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or crop issues to supervisors promptly.
- Work collaboratively with other farm team members to achieve daily production goals.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous manual labor for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (sun, rain).
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in farming, horticulture, or other agricultural labor.
- Familiarity with basic farm tools and machinery.
