Key Responsibilities
- Research current fashion trends, forecast future trends, and interpret them into marketable designs aligned with brand aesthetics.
- Develop innovative design concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and fabric selections for seasonal collections.
- Create detailed sketches, technical drawings (flats), and specifications for garment construction, including measurements and material requirements.
- Collaborate with pattern makers and sample room technicians to ensure design integrity and fit during the prototyping phase.
- Oversee the entire design process from initial concept to final production, ensuring quality control and adherence to timelines.
- Present design concepts and finalized collections to internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers for fabric and trim sourcing, negotiating terms when necessary.
- Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and sustainable practices in fashion design and production.
- Contribute to brand storytelling and marketing efforts by providing design insights and visual assets.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and fashion manufacturing processes
- Excellent sketching and illustration skills (both hand-drawn and digital)
